Devotees thronged Khairatabad Bada Ganesh to have darshan. This year, Khairatabad Ganesh has been made 69 feet high. The first puja of Maha Ganapati will be performed today (Monday) morning. Governor Shivprasap Shukla will participate in the first puja. Traffic restrictions will be in effect from today (Monday) to September 24 on the occasion of Ganesh Utsav. Vehicles will be diverted on various routes according to the traffic from 11 am to night every day.
Vehicles coming towards VV statue will be diverted towards Nirankari Junction, and old PS Saifabad vehicles will be diverted towards Iqbal Minar. Permission has been denied to traffic from Necklace Rotary towards Mint Compound. Vehicular movement from Nirankari towards Khairatabad Railway Gate has been stopped. Traffic jams are likely in Khairatabad, Saifabad, Mint Compound, NTR Marg, Secretariat Junction, Masab Tank vicinity... Traffic police are advising motorists to take other routes. Arrangements have been made for special parking for devotees at Race Course Road, NTR Ghat, HMDA parking next to IMAX, and Visvesvaraya Bhavan.
